Between Cleaning - Carpet Cleaning Advices

Carpet Cleaning Advice #1

The best way to keep your carpet clean (besides following our carpet cleaning advice, of course) is to maintain it between professional cleanings.

Daily traffic and infrequent vacuuming will eventually decrease the integrity of your carpeting, and unless you regularly vacuum heavily traveled areas, you will either (1) increase the need for more frequent professional cleanings or (2) make professional cleaning harder than it has to be.

In the worst case, professional cleaning may not be as effective as it could, and carpet replacement could be the only option.

Carpet Cleaning Advice #2

Keep your carpet looking as clean as the day we cleaned it by vacuuming the most heavily traveled areas a couple of times a week at least. For less traveled areas, vacuuming only once a week is fine.

Carpet Cleaning Advice #3

Placing an outdoor mat outside of each door will trap outdoor dirt and help protect carpet in front of entry/exit ways, while using indoor rugs along hallways will protect carpet that sits in front of bedroom or bathroom doors.

Washing both mats and rugs will additionally help keep soils from being tracked onto the carpet surrounding them.
